This will be our last post where we show you what we have been doing with the ebook, Brick Animals. The next post will be a review of the whole book itself.
If you are new to Stories From Our LEGO Town, let me explain what we have been doing lately. The kids have joined the affiliate program for Educating Laytons Brick Ebooks. Stef and Jake Layton, a mother and son team, have written several brick ebooks and blessed us with a free copy of their ebook, Brick Animals, to review. The children have each tried several of the projects in the book and they have each posted about two of their Brick Animal projects. Educating Laytons have blessed us with a free copy of their ebook, Brick Animals! We are using it in our homeschool for part of our science program right now. In previous posts we have shared with you how the children copied the pictures from Brick Animals to make their animals just like Jake did in the ebook. This time when we looked at the ebook I encouraged them to be more creative and make the brick animals with their own unique twist.
The kids have each made another LEGO animal from the ebook, Brick Animals. This time I encouraged them to do something different with their LEGO animals, to add their own uniqueness to their creations. This got a variety of responses from them :)

We have been blessed with a free copy of the ebook, Brick Animals, by Stef and Jake Layton. Stef and Jake are a mother and her 11 year old son, who have teamed up to make these fun ebooks to inspire creativity with LEGO bricks. Now my children are reviewing the ebook so they can share with you how wonderful it is :) You can find a complete list of the kids Brick Animal projects here.
In our last post we announced that Stories From Our LEGO Town has its first affiliate! We are reviewing the Brick Ebook, Brick Animals. Each of the children will be trying to replicate the pictures from Brick Animals and doing the related worksheets. We will be sharing these with you as we do them.
The kids signed up for their first affiliate program! This means that if you buy anything through the links on their blog, they get paid a small amount. You can find our disclosure policy here.
*Mom's note: For homeschool Princess is using Sonlight's (affiliate link) language arts. For creative expression she had to write a journal entry from the point of view of an every day object in our house. She chose to write her journal entry as if her LEGO hedgehog had written it. This is Hedgehog's Journal Entry :)
